How We Protected Our Home and Legacy with One Simple Move
Dear Family, Friends, and Partners,
We want to let you in on a critical wealth move we recently made — one that not only protects our family home but ensures our children receive what we’ve built without court delays, legal messes, or tax drama. It’s a step every business owner and family-oriented leader should consider.
🏡 We Transferred Our Home Into Our Living Trust — Here’s Why
Our home in San Antonio is more than property. It’s part of our legacy . As of this month, we’ve officially transferred our primary residence into Our Living Trust using a legal tool called a Quitclaim Deed.
This wasn’t about selling or refinancing. It was about control. By doing this:
✅ We avoid probate — the costly, public, and time-consuming court process that happens when someone passes away without a proper estate plan.
✅ We retain 100% use and control of our home for life.
✅ We ensure that our children — inherit what we’ve built cleanly and without delay.
✅ We preserved our Tax Exemption, as federal and Texas law allows this trust transfer without losing our benefits.
📜 What is a Quitclaim Deed?
A Quitclaim Deed lets you transfer real estate from yourself to your own trust. In our case, we deeded the home from our individual names to ourselves as Co-Trustees of our family trust. This ensures the trust — not the probate court — controls the asset if something happens to us.
We remain fully in control, and the house stays in our name — just under a new layer of protection and foresight.
💡 Why This Move Matters
Alejos Capital Group is more than a business — it’s a model of applied strategy. We practice what we preach: wealth isn’t just earned — it’s positioned. Whether you're a homeowner, entrepreneur, or family builder, a living trust isn’t a luxury — it's a necessity.
We’ve done the legal work, recorded the deed with Bexar County, and built a system to replicate this strategy for others. Soon, we’ll be releasing a starter trust framework for Alejos clients and families serious about intergenerational wealth.
Build wisely. Live deliberately. Protect what matters.
With respect and vision,
